The Bernina Big Book of Embroidery is a comprehensive machine embroidery book with a wealth of information for the novice as well as the experienced stitcher. It starts at the beginning with information about designs, stabilizers, embroidery supplies, and hooping methods. From there you explore basic editing functions that includes resizing, rotating, and Word Art. Then it moves on to more exciting functions such as Color Wheel, Endless Embroidery, and Importing Decorative Stitches.

Next it covers design placement, both with using low tech methods with hoop templates and paper design templates is a good place to start. As well as high tech machine design placement functions such as Virtual Positioning and Pinpoint Placement (on specific models).
