Refund policy
RETURN POLICY: No returns of fabric, books, patterns, software, sewing machines or electric appliances.
For other in-store purchased product, store credit will be issued for any returns without a receipt.
For all online orders (excludes fabric, books, patterns, software, opened sewing machines), purchased product, requested returns or order cancelations after the time of order will be subject to less a 5% fee after the time of order, including orders placed for "pre-orders" for new product launches.
An ORDER RMA# is required for all unopened product returns. An ORDER RMA# can be obtained by e-mailing us at ORDERS@aurorasewingcenter.com. The ORDER RMA# needs to be included within the returned package to be subject to a refund. Refunds will be issued within three business days after receiving the returned product with an ORDER RMA# enclosed, as long as the returned product has not been damaged, or packaging altered. No returns after thirty (30) days of the time or order placement. Customer will also pay return shipping fee.
VIRTUAL CLASS & PROGRAM POLICY: Aurora Sewing Center provides project classes and other educational programs virtually, mainly using the ZOOM platform. We e-mail students within 30-mins of each class necessary ZOOM log-in details, and for those students who are unable to attend the live class/program version are then therefore choosing to watch a recorded version of the class/program. After the live class/program is completed and uploaded we e-mail out a recorded version to all registered students for a three-day (72 hour) viewing period. The recorded version link is ONLY be available for viewing for a total of three (3) days from the time the recorded link is e-mailed to each registered student. No refunds are available if the registered student is unable to attend the live class/program, or watch the recorded link within the allocated three-day period of time. All non-registered students are prohibitive to watching the recorded class/program.
IN-STORE CLASS REFUND POLICY: Aurora Sewing Center makes a commitment to our teachers one week prior to the start of their classes. Therefore, refunds are available only when a cancellation is made at least one week before the first class, less a $5 handling fee. Cancellations made after that time will receive a credit for store merchandise only, less a $5 handling fee. In the event that Aurora Sewing Center must cancel a class at any given time, individuals who register for that class will be contacted and given a full refund or the substitution of another course.
EVENT (in-house & off-site) REFUND POLICY: Aurora Sewing Center is committed to bringing you guest educators from all over North America for in-house and off-site events. We commit months in advance to secure the availability of these guests, ensuring a final attendance count several weeks in advance. Therefore, Cancellations made fourteen (14) days or more prior to the event’s start date will receive a credit for store merchandise only, less a $5 handling fee. No refunds or credits will be given when a cancellation is made fourteen (14) days or less prior to an event. In the event that Aurora Sewing Center must cancel an event at any given time, individuals who register for that class will be contacted and given a full refund.
