Students will learn the basics of sewing by hand and with a machine. They will also learn about fabric. Class will be taught using a guide book that each student will take home to use as a reference. Students will do sample sewing based on specific skills taught in a lesson.

They will also do the following project sewing utilizing multiple skills learned: bookmark, popcorn bag, drawstring tote, and apron. Children will have the opportunity to select their own fabric for projects and purchase them using the ASC gift card that is part of the class fee.
