Victor - Tucker University- Freshman (9.24.24)

Tucker University is a skill-building series of monthly classes designed to teach quilters of all levels how to build basic units (building blocks for quilt blocks) using Studio 180 Design tools for accuracy and efficiency. In addition, ways to expand the use of each tool will be taught, and students will practice applying the initial steps of these techniques to quilt patterns and photos by other designers ("Tuckerizing" quilts).  Class curriculum includes Design Sheets, with additional unit combinations for unlimited quilt design options.  Each class covers a different Studio 180 Design tool, along with techniques to expand the use of the tool. The monthly goal or assignment will be to build two 12" quilt blocks from smaller (usually 4") units, which will be taught and sewn in class, with an attentive certified instructor by your side the entire time. Students will have the option to create one or two quilts with their finished blocks at the end of each module or year, and fabric selection information will be provided for those who wish to do this.
