Our team of highly trained technicians provides professional care for all types and makes of sewing machines including mechanical, computerized, embroidery, multi-needle, sergers, and industrial machines. From thorough cleaning and precise adjustments to electronic diagnostics and on-site industrial repairs, we ensure your machine performs at its best, every time.

Note: Machine Tune-ups do include cleaning, and exclude any necessary parts and installation. If your machine requires replacement or repair parts, additional labor charges may incur.

Be sure to bring your machine along with its bobbin, presser foot, foot pedal, power cord, and, if you have one, the embroidery module (for brands we don’t carry).

24-Hour Rush Service: Drop off before 11 AM (with technician availability) for same-day turnaround.
3-Day Expediated Service: Machine serviced and ready within three business days (Mon–Fri).

What does a tune-up for a sewing machine include?

Mechanical & Electronic Sewing Machine Tune-Ups

Our sewing machine tune-ups provide complete professional care to keep your machine running smoothly and stitching accurately. Both mechanical (dial-operated) and electronic (computerized) machines receive a thorough cleaning, inspection, and precision adjustments. Electronic machines also receive additional attention to their advanced components.

All sewing machine tune-ups include:

Complete internal cleaning to remove thread, lint, dust, and debris
Inspection of gears and internal moving parts (machine-dependent, once covers are removed)
Lubrication and adjustment of all bushings and moving components
Hook timing set and upper and lower thread tensions adjusted to factory specifications
Belt tensions checked and timing set between upper and lower shafts
Inspection of core components including the bobbin winder, feed dogs, needle bar, bobbin case, hook, motor(s), and wiring
Polishing of any burrs in the thread path or sewing hook
Final test sew with a new needle

Additional services for electronic (computerized) machines:

Inspection of screens, lights, buttons, sensors, circuit boards, and circuit board connections
Sensor diagnostics to help identify errors or potential repair needs
Inspection of thread cutters and automatic needle threaders
Final test sew performed with a new Schmetz needle

What does a tune-up for a longarm & midarm quilting machine include?

Longarm & Midarm Quilting Machine Tune-Up

Our longarm and midarm quilting machine tune-up provides complete professional care for these advanced systems. This service includes all the cleaning, lubrication, and inspections of a computerized machine, with added attention to larger mechanisms and complex electronic components.

What’s included:

Thorough internal cleaning to remove all thread, lint, dust, and debris
Inspection of gears and all internal moving components (machine-dependent, once covers are removed)
Lubrication and adjustment of all bushings and moving parts
Hook timing set and upper/lower thread tensions adjusted to factory specifications
Belt tensions checked and adjusted
Inspection of key mechanical and electronic components, including: Bobbin winder, feed dogs, needle bar, bobbin case, hook, and motors, wiring, power cords, screens, lights, buttons, sensors, circuit boards and circuit board connections
Sensor diagnostics to help identify errors or potential repair needs

Services include all cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and diagnostics performed on electronic sewing machines, with added attention to embroidery-specific components. Multi-needle machines receive additional service for extra needle bars, tensions, and mechanisms.

All embroidery machine tune-ups include:

Complete internal cleaning to remove thread, lint, dust, and debris
Inspection of all internal moving parts (machine-dependent, once covers are removed)
Lubrication and adjustment of bushings, gears, and moving components
Hook timing set and upper and lower thread tensions adjusted to factory specifications
Belt tensions checked and timing set between upper and lower shafts (as applicable)
Inspection of motors, wiring, power cords, screens, lights, buttons, sensors, circuit boards, and connections

All threads removed to thoroughly clean tension units and thread guides
Inspection and service of multiple needle bars and additional tension assemblies
New Schmetz needles installed and centered
Individual needle tensions set to factory specifications
Final embroidery stitch-out to verify performance

Important note before service:

Please back up all embroidery designs to a computer or external drive before dropping off your machine. During service—or if a circuit board repair or replacement is required—stored designs may be erased. Saving designs is the customer’s responsibility prior to service.

What does a tune-up for a serger (overlocker) include?

Serger (Overlocker) Machine Tune-Up

Our serger tune-up is designed to keep your machine cutting, stitching, and feeding smoothly. This service includes a thorough internal cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and precision adjustments specific to serger mechanisms.

What’s included:

Complete internal cleaning to remove all thread, lint, and debris
Lubrication of all moving parts, gears, and cams
Inspection of all internal components (covers removed as machine type allows)
Looper tubes cleared and cleaned, if applicable
Looper inspection and timing adjustments
Timing balanced between upper and lower shafts
All thread tensions set to factory specifications
Inspection and adjustment of knife blades and connections
Feed dog height and stitch fingers inspected; needle plate polished
Inspection of motors, wiring, power cords, and electronic components (as applicable)
Sensor diagnostics to help identify errors or potential repair needs
Final test stitch using a new ELX #90 Schmetz needle

This tune-up helps ensure clean cuts, balanced stitches, and reliable serger performance.

What does a straight-stitch and featherweight machine tune-up include?

Our straight stitch and Featherweight tune-up provides precision care for these classic machines. This service focuses on thorough cleaning, proper lubrication, and careful adjustments to ensure smooth, reliable operation.

What’s included:

Complete internal cleaning to remove thread, lint, dust, and debris
Lubrication and adjustment of all bushings, gears, pulleys, and bearings
Inspection of belts with tensions set as needed
Inspection of the motor, wiring, and power cords
Hook inspection, polishing, timing, and tension adjustments
Upper and lower thread tensions set properly
Exterior cleaning and polishing of Featherweight machines
Final test sew with a new needle

Additional restoration or rewiring services may be available on a case-by-case basis.

What does industrial machine service include?

Industrial Sewing Machine Service

Our industrial sewing machine service provides the same thorough cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and adjustments as a mechanical tune-up, with additional attention to features like separate bobbin winders when needed. Machines are test sewn to ensure peak performance.

On-Site Services & Repairs:

We offer on-site service at your facility for industrial machines, allowing for quick repairs and minimal downtime.

Scheduling & Fees:

Please contact our Williamsville store (716) 204-8350 to check technician availability and schedule on-site service. On-site repairs are billed hourly, with travel fees and special terms applying. This service cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
