The Janome Straight Stitch Foot and Plate is for Janome High Speed, straight stitch machines and is designed to work together to provide optimal feeding of fine fabrics.  The straight stitch needle plate guarantees even fabric feed at the beginning and end of the seam, while avoiding the fabric from being pulled into the needle plate opening.
