Laurastar Protective Soleplate – Protect delicate and dark fabrics while ironing. The specially coated soleplate attaches easily to your Laurastar iron, reducing direct heat while allowing steam to penetrate the fabric. Ideal for silk, synthetics and dark garments, it helps prevent scorching, heat damage and unwanted shiny marks while delivering smooth, professional results.

It functions as a heat-diffusing barrier between the iron's hot aluminum soleplate and the fabric. Its special coating reduces the amount of direct heat transferred to the material, while still allowing Laurastar's steam to pass through and relax the fibers. This is particularly useful for silk, synthetics, delicate fabrics, dark clothing, and materials prone to developing shiny marks from direct ironing.

To use it, you insert the tip of the iron into the front of the protective soleplate, lower the iron into it, and secure it with the rear tab. Laurastar recommends allowing approximately 2 minutes for the protective soleplate to reach the proper working temperature before ironing.
